Labour Briefing was founded in 1980 to educate, agitate, organise. Now more than ever, the Labour left needs to organise. A right wing Conservative party is pulling Britain towards a hard, neo-liberal Brexit in which Britain’s closest ally is Donald Trump. Jeremy Corbyn has been elected leader of the Labour Party twice, and the membership of the party has grown to over 600,000 in the process, yet at the same time a wing of the Parliamentary Labour Party and the Party apparatus seem intent on frustrating any attempts to move the party to the left.
Throughout its history Labour Briefing has fought to link progressive struggles on the streets to political power within councils and within Parliament. The magazine has always run by volunteers and at a loss. Our commitment is to get across socialist ideas. To ensure that we can continue we need your support through donations and subscriptions.
